Zirconia fused alumina is a man-made abrasive made by melting aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) in an electric arc furnace and then cooling and crystallizing them through a high-temperature electric melting process. It is widely used in heavy-duty metal grinding, grinding wheel manufacturing, sandblasting and polishing, etc.

High Hardness
The Mohs hardness of zirconium fused alumina is as high as 9.0 or above. This high hardness property enables it to show extremely strong cutting ability when processing high-strength metals such as stainless steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel, and the amount of metal removed per unit time is as high as 12.5g per minute.
Strong Self-sharpening
Zirconium fused alumina has self-sharpening properties during use, that is, after the edge of the particles is broken during grinding, it can automatically form a new sharp-angle cutting surface, continuously keep the cutting sharp, reduce the number of material changes, and extend the material change cycle to 10 hours.
High Thermal Stability
Zirconium corundum can withstand thermal shock temperatures up to 1600°C, and is not easily melted and deformed due to high temperature during high-speed grinding or heavy pressure operations. It is especially suitable for dry high-speed grinding equipment.
Uniform Particle Size
Zirconium corundum particles are strictly graded and screened, and the particle size distribution is controlled within ±0.1mm. The uniform particle size means that a more uniform contact surface can be formed during the grinding process, reducing scratches and grooves, and is suitable for fine polishing or mirror finishing.
