Tabular alumina is a special corundum material made of high-purity alumina sintered at ultra-high temperature. Its biggest feature is that the crystal structure is plate-like or flake-like, rather than granular.

High Temperature Resistance
Tabular alumina is formed by sintering pure α-alumina at a high temperature of 1900°C. Therefore, it can maintain a stable volume and is not easy to deform or crack when used for a long time below 1800°C. It is very suitable for high-temperature industrial kilns, metallurgical furnace linings and high-performance refractory materials.

High-purity Raw Materials
Tabular alumina is made of high-purity industrial alumina as raw material. The Al₂O₃ content is as high as 99.2%, and the total content of impurities such as Fe₂O₃ and SiO₂ is usually less than 0.5%, which can reduce the structural damage caused by impurity migration, melting or reaction at high temperature.

Low Apparent Porosity
The apparent porosity of plate-shaped corundum is ≤5%. It is more difficult for external high-temperature slag or harmful gases to enter the material to react chemically, thereby avoiding corrosion, softening or disintegration of the material structure. It is suitable for working parts in contact with molten metal and corrosive gases in industries such as steel and non-ferrous metals.

Electric Arc Furnace Lining
Tabular alumina can be used to produce refractory bricks used for the inner wall of electric arc furnaces.

Ladle Working Layer
Tabular corundum can be used to make working layer materials in containers for molten steel transportation (such as ladles and tundishes), which can improve the material's erosion resistance and reduce the corrosion of molten steel on the furnace lining.

Lining Of Aluminum Electrolytic Cell
Tabular corundum can be used for the lining inside the aluminum electrolytic cell, which can effectively resist the corrosion of fluorides at high temperatures and extend the service life of the electrolytic cell.

High-strength Grinding Wheel
Tabular alumina can be used to make cutting grinding wheels and grinding tools.

Ceramic Reinforcement Material
Tabular alumina can be used in special ceramic products, such as bulletproof armor, electronic ceramics, etc., to improve the strength, wear resistance and crack resistance of ceramics.
